This may be the perfect Christmas Book club book
1) It is a fast read. I think I read this book in 90 minutes give or take 30 minutes. If i actually sat down and read it straight through, my guess is 70-75 minutes
2) It's Christmas-y
3) It has a happy ending
4) it has sad parts
5) It's real life without being vulgar and it's hopelessly sappy

I felt this book built-up to nothing. The author left so many things to happen in the last 5 pages - things that weren't fully developed throughout the book. It was a "feel good" story, so I'll agree with your 3/5 stars.
