Independance Day Week-end

Friday afternoon we dedicated our home to the Sacred Heart of Jesus and the Immaculate Heart of Mary. Our pastor came over and performed the ceremony, blessed our images and the turned it over to Daddy to bless the house. We had a few people over and more then enough food. It turns out our pastor knows everyone. And not just most of Daddy's family but also one of the other guest's grandmother and the minister from mommy's childhood church. Friday evening we went to the Kenilworth Independence Parade. We had lots of fun.

Saturday was off course Independence day. We had a family BBQ then went to the top of the parking garage downtown to watch the fireworks. JD really got into the fireworks this year. It was nice and cool on top of the garage too and it wasn't crowded. We will definitely go back there next year.

After church on Sunday we went to Target where again we suggested to JD that we go home, do more chores and then come back. He agreed. He helped wash both cars and all three dogs earning a total of $5 extra. We went back to Target where he got Dragonoid on clearance. JD reports that this is the best!toy!ever! It is a pretty cool action figure.
JD also told Mommy that there are "ghosties" in his room Sunday night. We had a bedtime conversation about the ghosties. In the morning he reported that fairies came and scared the ghosties outside and then the doggies ate them. But only the bad ones, not the good ones. Further questioning revealed the doggies were our doggies and the fairies were angel fairies... not the fairies from fantasia which we watched this week-end.
