vacay

We made a trip this past week-end out to see my sister, Auntie, in Austin. It was a last minute trip to visit Auntie since we hadn't seen her since my grandfather's funeral. We visited, went swimming, and ate yummy food.

We also went because JD woke up Thursday morning talking about bats and caves. We made the decision Thursday night and were in Austin on Saturday. We went to a cave on Sunday that even had a few bats in it. JD pronounced it a Fun Adventure. We got there at exactly the right time: it was still during church time and our group was small made up of other adults our age, mostly with children our age as well. At the end of the cave, JD ran up to one of the other men and started playing with him. I said, "JD, that's not your daddy." JD looked embarrassed then ran to daddy. The gentleman handled it very well. He did resemble Phillip too. They were the same build, had the same hair cut and we wearing t-shirts and khaki cargo pants. The tour guide thought it was hilarious.

Tuesday, JD and I went by my new school and his new school to look around, get some info, do a little work. We also went and saw Shrek III and had a fun time in general.

Yesterday was little gym. After his normal class was over we stuck around for the sports class. JD LOVED it. We are thinking of signing him up again in the fall and if so we will probably do the sports class.

Today is my last day at work. Monday I start at the school.
