Father's day

We visited with Daddy's parents Friday night. Since all spring JD had gymnastics on Saturdays i think the only time we visited them was Easter. We had a nice visit with them. I marked JD's height on the chart at their house and he has grown 2 inches in 6 months.

After church on Sunday we went to the cemetery. We cleaned off my dad's head stone and talked about him a little bit. JD had lots of questions about Grandpa (and Grandma, Mawmaw and Pawpaw, PawPaw JO and Mawmaw Gloria) and death and Jesus... We talked about the resurrection a little too.
Then JD asked: "When Jesus comes and Grandpa comes out of the ground are grandma and grandpa going to get married again?" ... "Ah, I don't know. We'll have to ask grandma."
and we did. We had already planned on seeing is she wanted to join us for lunch. JD asked grandma, who i think was as surprised by the questions as we were and just smiled and said, "We'll see."
So, now I'm thinking we need to get JD tested for gifted. That's higher level thinking right?

We went swimming Sunday afternoon at one of the public pools. It wasn't crowded at all and the life guards were nice too. It cost less than $5 for the three of us. I think we will be going back next week-end. JD could almost touch the bottom of the shallow end. He wanted to practice his swimming the whole time. we had to make him take breaks to catch his breath. This time was alot less stressful for me though since we had a shallow end with steps he could swim to.
